You're probably reading this website because you suffer from a health problem or you know someone who does, and neither you nor the specialists you visited know what it is or how to deal with it. This has happened in the past, and it is not surprising that this happens in the present, especially with chronic health problems. The same applies to the problem we manage in káyros; it is a chronic health problem, and it is unknown to most patients and health specialists.

Our patients visit us because they do not know nor understand what problem is causing negative effects on their health. Maybe it started overnight or maybe it has been a process that has now reached an extreme limit.

They feel bad physically, suffering from pain and discomfort of all kinds. Their emotional state is also affected, resulting in frustration, helplessness, sadness, irritation, and despair. It even affects their personal lives, their jobs, and their families. They are now limited from doing activities that were previously done without difficulty. Many ask themselves, "What's wrong and why does it happen to me?," "I can't do what I used to do," "People around me do not understand how I feel," "I'm afraid to go out because I do not know what will happen to me because of my problem," or "I'll try not to do too much because if I do, I'll feel bad."

This image illustrates the problem we define in káyros – rigid body. It may not accurately represent your particular case or your problem although you suffer it.

Rigid body is different than the rigidity caused by Parkinson's disease, spasticity, hypertonia or other health problems that may require medical care.

The health problem that káyros manages uniquely and exclusively is called "rigid body."

káyros defines rigid body as a chronic health problem consisting of: (1) a reversible muscle rigidity of one side of the body compared to the other, (2) associated with the position of vertebrae of the spine, (3) which may be related to conditions and symptoms in different parts and body systems.

Your body, as a mechanical structure, can suffer accidents, be damaged, and stop functioning correctly, affecting the physical parts within it (bones, nerves, muscles, joints and organs) and body systems that perform everyday tasks consciously and unconsciously.

This chronic health problem (lifelong) does not have a definite "cure", but must be managed chronically so it doesn't affect your health negatively. If you have it and don't manage it properly, you will carry it all your life, and it might even worsen. In severe cases, this problem can make your life miserable, although it is not a life-threatening condition nor it will leave you in a wheelchair.

Although this problem is unknown to most people and specialists, its broad variety of conditions and symptoms is well known to humankind who have always suffered from them, often without knowing it nor being able to find solutions. This does not mean that it is an esoteric problem that requires a shaman to cure it.

Your problem cannot usually be seen from the outside because it affects the muscles found in the inner layers of your body, which work unconsciously and can't be seen or touched. This does not mean it does not exist or that you do not have it. Sometimes, it can be observed in people who walk with poor posture, hunched forward, or with head, shoulders, and hips tilted to one side.

Many people who suffer from this problem may not believe what they read here or that they can recover, but it doesn't matter whether or not you believe in this problem.

This is a problem with the physical structure of your body that can be researched through the scientific method.

káyros detects your problem if you are suffering or have suffered from associated conditions and symptoms – what we call "your pains" – that affect different parts and systems of your body. For example, the most common are:

Musculoskeletal system (muscles, bones, and joints)
Back pain, cervical pain, thoracic pain, lumbar pain, jaw pain (TMJ), herniated disc, pain in shoulders and arms, pain in legs and knees, sciatica, hip pain, muscle pain, tense muscles, poor posture, torticollis, scoliosis, others.

Nervous and vascular systems (nerve and blood supply)
Headache, migraine, dizziness, vertigo, fibromyalgia, chronic pain, radicular pain, paresthesia, loss of strength, whiplash syndrome, convulsions, Meniere's disease, trigeminal neuralgia, others.

Autonomic nervous system (body organs)
Breathing, digestion, circulation, excretion, others.

Immune system (defenses and emotional state)
Inflammation, low defenses, fatigue, lack of energy, irritability, insomnia, others.

It is important to understand that although you may be suffering from one or more conditions and symptoms, with káyros, you're going to self-manage your rigid body. For example, if you have a herniated disc, káyros does not provide a specific management for that. We understand that the herniated disc is a secondary condition associated with rigid body and that the symptoms that produce the herniated disc are the pain, discomfort, and possible radiation in arms and legs that you experience. The same applies to all other conditions and symptoms that we mentioned. We understand that until your problem (rigid body) is managed, you cannot recover properly.

The condition and symptoms associated with your rigid body by the alteration of several physical parts are related to lack of blood flow to muscles and organs, nerve irritation, spinal cord tension, and misalignment of bone structures, among others. This is something that current science cannot always pinpoint, and something that can generate uncertainty for many patients who do not understand why they suffer or how to recover.

It's hard to include in a list all the conditions and symptoms associated with rigid body. It is amazing to see what conditions and symptoms our patients recover from.

Think about káyros with the objective of recovering from your problem and associated conditions and symptoms and also as a way to improve the state of your body, which brings many other benefits for your overall health, both short- and long-term.

Rigid body may affect differently people of all ages and genders: babies, children, youth, adults, and seniors. In káyros, your health determines what type of patient you are:

Moderate patients.
"Moderate patients" are often a minority in káyros. The health of these patients is slightly affected. They have a normal life, but some activities can cause them some pain and discomfort without affecting their personal, professional, or emotional life too much.

Other moderate patients have almost no pain or discomfort and look at káyros as a way to improve and enhance their overall health, as one who takes vitamins or exercises to be healthier. Prevention is also an option for many people, ensuring that their health does not worsen over time to cause them eventually to become "typical" or "borderline patients."

Typical patients.
Most káyros patients are "typical patients." The health of these patients has deteriorated, and their problem causes them different pains with different intensity and frequency in different parts and body systems, but they can still perform everyday activities, and their emotional state is not highly affected. However, they often feel tired and worried from the chronic suffering of their problem and associated pains. Many of the typical patients have visited different specialists who have performed various tests and treatments in the best clinics. They have not recovered, and their problem may even have been exacerbated. Over time, if these patients don't manage their problem properly, they can become "borderline patients."

Borderline patients.
The "borderline patients" are a minority in káyros, although they are increasing in number. The health of these patients is very worrisome. They feel awful, and their problem causes them pains of high intensity and frequency, affecting the activities of daily living, work, and family life. Their problem affects their personal and emotional lives negatively at high levels. Their lives are filled with misery. The borderline patients sometimes even have to quit their jobs, or their partners abandon them because of how severely their problem affects them.

Often they feel isolated because no one understands what is happening to them, not even themselves. They may even feel ashamed of talking about their problem with friends or relatives because they are not taken seriously, and they cannot communicate their distress. They may have visited the best specialists in their country and have undergone many tests and treatments, without recovery. Some of those treatments may have worsened their problem. In the end, the specialists whom they visited didn't detect their problem nor provided recovery. This lack of knowledge can cause great frustration to the sufferers who may feel misunderstood and tagged as "crazy" or told that their problem lies in their mind or that they are making up excuses for not doing the activities they must do or that they are seeking to be the center of attention. In reality, they are sane, but just suffer from a health problem of physical origin.

Many of these patients do not know what to do and have lost their hope for recovery; they even may be suicidal.

They take endless medications for chronic pain and may even have chosen invasive treatments, such as back surgery with no results.

Sometimes, it is possible to know when your problem started – its origin – but sometimes, it is not.

The important thing now is to detect it and know that you can manage it with káyros. So, do not worry too much or lament about when or how it began or why you have it.

Life is full of situations that can be the origin of your problem. Your life can change overnight for the worse if the problem occurs instantly (e.g., a traffic accident), or you could have let time go, either consciously or unconsciously, until your problem and your pains worsened and reached an extreme limit, until now you can endure it no more.

The origin of your problem is due to situations that affect the structure of your body negatively, for example:

Birth trauma (physical), a physically demanding job, physical over-stressing, heavy weight lifting, fights, falls, blows, pranks, crazy-night parties, blow cold air, contact sports, sports injuries, poor sleep, traffic accidents, past failed surgeries and physical treatments, heavy backpacks, poor posture on the couch, repetitive activities, others.

This problem has to do with your body as a mechanical, physical structure and is not due to a lack of exercise or a poor diet, your mental state, or a biochemical imbalance in your body.

káyros specializes in managing your problem in part because we suffered from it and it significantly affected our health in the past. We visited many specialists and were subjected to countless tests and treatments without results. When we discovered it, we dedicated our lives to its study and to offer our services to those who suffer the same problem and want to manage it with us. There are important reasons to dedicate uniquely and exclusively to the problem we manage:

It affects a large number of people.

Until you manage this problem, you won't recover, regardless of how many specialists you visit or treatments you receive.

If you don't manage your problem, you will carry it all your life, and it may worsen and make your life miserable.

The results we observe with our patients is what drives us to continue working incessantly.
